About
Hi! I ‘m Lori Ann—
It was early 2020 - and nature had called me deep into her embrace… it was not the typical walks through the forest - it was so much more!
I was feeling unsettled with a few areas of my life and in the midst of recent heartbreak - revisiting some of my childhood wounds that had surfaced.
My relationship with the trees, and my time with the salty sands of wild Pacific Ocean became so natural… that it was a constant weekly calling to commune with the earths elements. I began to awaken to the owls singing to me, the wild blackberries blooming and begging for me to take a bite, the scent of eucalyptus "spa" capturing my every breath, and the foggy grey mist holding my spinning thoughts like a big hug!
I began awakening to nature and her healing powers. Sure, I had spent years in the trees & along oceanside cliffs, hiking for active exercise. I had countless hours devoted to my yoga practice, a decade of Pilates movement - but this, this was something different.
The universe brought forth a sacred soul, a mentor and guide, to my life, and I began working with her. She shared with me the medicine of being immersed in nature as a way to work with my healing process, and reignite my true self. Through this time, I learned how to commune with the trees and the ocean as a way to hold my wounds - to nurture my fears, listen to my worries, and hear my words. The trees shared the deep roots of their wisdom and strength. The oceans wild waves cleansed away the things I needed to release & created new waves of possibility.
I started to create my own personal nature rituals, and my time with Mother Earth transitioned from simple beach walks and forest hikes - to mini ceremonies - honoring the wisdom the earth provided and offering gratitude for the constancy of the trees. I developed a deep trust in the therapy that nature was providing - always there listening & holding me.
It is often referred to as "rewilding" and I can't think of a better term that resonates so deeply.
Returning to the wild of our ancestors, being & living with the earth in its raw state, in the wild that we experienced as children playing with abandon.
Now, in my service to Forces of Nature, I continue to ask myself how can we return to a place of homeostasis & peaceful rest within our nervous systems. How can we slow down and tap into the oldest & wildest elements of nature - in tune with our ancestors? This is the work we do.
Alongside my intimate rewilding with Mother Earth, I received my 300RYT, Yoga Nidra certification, and Reiki Level 1. My craving for more self-knowledge continued through studies in Flower Essence medicine and Vishoka meditation on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have continued to study in these ways, and recently received a certification in sound healing, too.
As I dove even deeper, through these trainings my most WISE teacher and source of inspiration emerged through Mother Earth herself. Among the giant redwood trees, and beside the ocean’s salty wild waves, I discovered my fullest self, over and over again. She held me and guided me, providing raw beauty, strength and trust. She taught me the gentle ebb and flow from inner healing to inspiration & creativity. Nature became my medicine, my own source of therapy.
My journey with Nature continues to hold me in love, re-awakening, trust, remembrance of my wild & playful spirit, and letting my creative force ignite from within me. Nature is my teacher, guiding me back home to myself.
Come join me and play with the Forces of Nature. You might just remember who you are, too!
